Eastar Bio Ultra is completely biodegraded into carbon dioxide, water and other biological materials within 180 days of its commercial cycle under composting conditions. It becomes invisible to the naked eye within 12 weeks, and the degradation time is similar to that of paper in the same environment.
It is understood that films produced from such copolyesters are high in strength, resistant to moisture, and are resistant to tearing and puncture, especially at low temperatures. Eastar Bio Ultra's melt viscosity is higher than its counterparts and is specifically designed for blown films. The extrusion process is similar to high melt index LDPE.
