The listing of touch all-in-one computers and touch TVs has disrupted the competitive landscape of traditional electronic whiteboards. Many well-known enterprises such as TV manufacturers, panel manufacturers, touch technology and system integrators have developed touch and integrated electronic whiteboard products that meet the needs of the education industry. Even the domestic panel manufacturing giant BOE began to independently develop the largest 65-inch intelligent interactive all-in-one machine for the education system and government agencies, and the electronic whiteboard market became lively for a while.

Projectors are developing rapidly in the domestic education industry, and electronic whiteboard teaching solutions are also widely recognized by students and parents. Even in the face of the squeeze of emerging interactive forces such as touch TV, the combination of "projection + whiteboard" still has a strong vitality.

1) Size

In the domestic market, the smallest usable size of the whiteboard is 77 inches, 4: 3 ratio, and the largest size of mass production liquid crystal (plasma) touch TV is 65 inches, and it is 16: 9 ratio. 2) Resolution

Although the resolution of the LCD TV can reach the full high-definition level (1920x1080), in theory, more teaching content can be displayed on one screen, but in practice, it faces a big problem-want to use a small screen To achieve high resolution, it is necessary to compress the distance between the pixels of the display panel, which will inevitably cause all the displayed menus, icons, and text on the screen to be very small at standard resolutions, whether it is for the operator or the viewer (especially Are students in the back row) are very uncomfortable. 3) Brightness

Since all touch TVs based on the display principles of liquid crystal and plasma use self-luminous light sources, the brightness is very high, and long-term viewing can easily cause visual fatigue and damage the eyesight of students. The projector belongs to the reflective light source. The diffuse reflection of the light through the whiteboard board has a significantly less impact on vision than the TV. The use of the projector as the display source is also recognized by educational institutions around the world. Parents usually urge their children not to watch TV for a long time at home, so it is even more inappropriate for schools to introduce touch TV into the classroom.

4) Reflection, viewing angle

In order to realize the touch function and also to protect the display panel, touch TV mostly attaches a special layer of toughened glass outside the screen, which will cause serious reflection on the screen surface, which does not meet the anti-glare requirements of the Ministry of Education writing board standard. And the viewing angles of many LCD screens are very small. Students on the side of the classroom will be affected by reflective interference. At the same time, the content on the screen will not be clear due to the viewing angle of the TV. The projection does not have to consider these issues at all.

5) Fever

Due to the limitation of display technology, the surface of the screen will gradually heat up after a period of time when the touch TV is turned on. Especially for display devices based on plasma technology, the amount of heat generated is so great that it will obviously feel hot when touched. The heat is extremely unsuitable for interactive touch needs. On the contrary, no heat will be emitted from the surface of the whiteboard, and neither teachers nor students will directly touch the projector with their hands, so that the heat of the projector will not affect the teaching.

6) Radiation

Some common sense people will know that a magnetic field is generated when electricity passes through a conductor. The internal circuit boards and other components of the TV emit high-intensity electromagnetic radiation during work. Although the TV with a shield can use the shield to play a shielding role, most of the electromagnetic waves are blocked in the shield to protect the use. The person is protected from the harm of electromagnetic radiation, but electromagnetic radiation is still inevitable. According to the determination of the relevant state departments, the radiation range of LCD TVs is generally within 2 meters, and the viewing distance of 50-inch flat-screen TVs 3 meters away will not be affected by radiation. At present, there are many manufacturers in the domestic touch TV market, and the quality of the products varies, and it cannot even be ruled out that individual manufacturers have even omitted the shielding case in order to save costs. Therefore, from the perspective of the personal safety of teachers and students, it is not appropriate to use a touch TV solution in the classroom.

7) Interactive feel

Because the application of large-screen touch devices in teaching is different from simple touch screens in the general sense, it requires very precise and rapid interactive touch devices to meet the requirements. However, most of the touch TVs currently on the market use infrared touch, and the indicators such as the response speed, accuracy, response speed, and misoperation probability of touch are far less than can be achieved by mature interactive whiteboards. It is not only better in parameters than ordinary touch TV, but also in the identification of misoperation It is very excellent. In the touch TV market so far, no product has such a good touch feel. In the final analysis, the school purchases interactive touch devices. However, if they deviate from the need for interactive effects, it is not appropriate to consider them from a certain aspect.

8) Software and overall solution

The purchase of educational equipment is different from the purchase of equipment in the general sense, and there are many factors that need to be considered-not only the consideration of the equipment hardware itself, but also the support of supporting software, the construction of the teaching resource library, the cultivation of the teaching staff, and subsequent services Teaching and research system construction. Only by considering all factors can we really improve the level of education and teaching and make the equipment practical. Take a simple example-there are currently no more than 10 whiteboard manufacturers in the country that are truly capable of continuing to develop interactive software and use the software in teaching on a large scale, while touch TV manufacturers are mostly unknown companies and traditional TV industry. Companies, these manufacturers are unlikely to put a lot of energy on software research and development, most of them are mainly OEM software from other manufacturers or equipped with simple functional software, so that it is not to mention the later software upgrades and teaching resources Updates, professional training services, teacher professional seminars, and a series of post-sale follow-up sales. Our purchasing decision-makers even consider these factors when purchasing, rather than considering the parameters and prices of the hardware itself, because these factors are directly related to the future use of teaching equipment.
