Dow Chemical Company introduced two VERSIFYTM plastomers and elastomers - VERSIFY 2300 and 3300. Deepak Parikh, the company's global business development manager for elastomers, said: “The VERSIFY 2300 and 3300 have excellent performance balance in terms of modulus and elasticity in film applications: Excellent tear and wear resistance, good reliability Sex and processability."

The VERSIFY 2300 is ideally suited as a raw material for blow-molded stretch hoods. It imparts excellent elasticity and good retention to the film, allowing the film to adhere to the wrapped goods and improve the stability of the entire tray. It has excellent tear resistance and greatly reduces wrinkling and "ear hole" formation. Industrial disposal is also easy. Its thickness is closely matched to the packaged product, which can reduce the weight of the film. In addition, its all- ethylene/propylene structure facilitates recycling. Thin film processors will benefit from its ease of processing. The processing performance is stable and consistent, and no odor is produced. In addition to blowing stretch hoods, VERSIFY 2300 is also well suited for a wide range of calendering and extrusion applications and can also be used as a blend of thermoplastic elastomers.

VERSIFY 3300 is used as a tackifier for cast film. The new catalytic technology combined with Dow INSITETM co-polymerization technology significantly increases the proportion of vinyl in the production of film raw materials, forming a unique molecular structure that brings unprecedented high levels of polymer properties and overall performance. VERSIFY 3300 is not only suitable for stretching adhesive and elastic film, but also can be used as blending component of thermoplastic elastomer and thermoplastic olefin plastic. It is particularly suitable as an adhesion promoting layer for cast stretched films. This product can improve the adhesion of the film and can be used as a low added amount of the blend: generally 5% -10%, while the use of VLDPE requires 30% -40%. It stabilizes the performance of the film and can operate on a wrapping machine in hot and cold environments. Adhesion tests conducted after three months showed that its performance remained unchanged, and the noise during processing was very low.
