This technical specification will be implemented on January 1, 2017. The implementation of the standard is divided into two phases, and the standards are different at different stages. The first phase of the standard implementation is a transitional period from the date of publication of the standard (January 1, 2017) to the end of April 2017. Solvent-based coatings and adhesives can be used for approximately six months. In the transition period, the requirements for hazardous substances are referred to the adhesive SZJG 48-2014 "Construction Decoration Materials and Adhesives Hazardous Substances Limits" requirements, and wood coatings refer to the environmental labeling product standards. The second stage is to officially implement the “prohibition of the use of solvent-based coatings†from May 1, 2017, with reference to the national mandatory standards for waterborne wood coatings. It is worth noting that there is no transition period for wood materials, leather and textile fabrics. The new standard will be implemented from January 1, 2017.
