For paperback books, the cover of the coated paper is not plastic, and the background color of the cover is not dark. Coated paper is afraid of moisture. If the background color of the cover is dark, the cover is affected by moisture when wrapping, and the color at the binding feet of the first and fourth seals will stick, causing a little white eye-marking and affecting the appearance. If the background color of the cover is darker, this phenomenon is more obvious, otherwise, it is slightly better. In the use of binding materials for hardcover books, we believe that there are currently two problems that seriously affect the firmness of hardcover: First, the paper hardcover cover uses coated paper instead of plastic, which directly affects the firmness of the book cover. The fiber and bending resistance of the coated paper itself are very poor. The firmness of the hardcover book is mainly determined by the firmness of the connection between the book case and the book block. The fabric of the bookcase has poor flexing and bending properties, and is easy to break. The bookcase and book block are easily separated, which directly affects the quality of the product. In the past, some hardcover books used cloth waist paper, and some books or books also used this method, the purpose of which was to enhance the fastness of the book cover. We feel that this is much stronger and better than the simple paper case. If you must use paper hardcover, the quality of paper cloth waist will be better. Second, the hardcover book backing cloth does not use gauze and non-woven fabrics, which also has a certain influence on the firmness of the hardcover. Non-woven fabric is made of cellulose material pressed with viscose, and its flexibility is far less than gauze. The firmness of hardcover books, as mentioned above, is determined by the degree of adhesion between the book case and the book block. The binding material used on the back of the book will have a direct impact on the firmness.
