At present, there are many kinds of electronic balances used in China, whether domestic or imported; whether it is large or small, the basic construction principle is the same whether it is high precision or low precision. . How to properly install, use and maintain an electronic balance and obtain the correct weighing results is one of the effective ways to ensure product quality.

In the on-site verification work, it was found that many companies' balances were not installed, used and maintained as required, resulting in large deviations in measurement data, exceeding the maximum allowable error required by the verification procedures. In order to enable the staff engaged in the use of the balance to obtain accurate weighing results and extend the service life of the balance, the problems that need to be paid attention to when properly installing, using and maintaining the electronic balance are as follows:

1. Environmental requirements for the installation of electronic balances

(1) The room should be protected from direct sunlight. It is best to choose a shaded room or use a blackout method.

(2) It should be away from the source of vibration, such as railways, highways, vibration machines and other vibration machinery. When it is unavoidable, anti-seismic measures should be taken.

(3) Keep away from heat sources and high-energy electromagnetic fields.

(4) The temperature in the working room should be constant, preferably around 20'C.

(5) The relative humidity in the working room should be between 45% and 75%.

(6) The workroom should be clean and clean to avoid the influence of airflow.

(7) The working room should be free of corrosive gases.

(8) The workbench should be firm and reliable.

2. Cleaning requirements before installing the electronic balance

(1) First, remove the floating soil and the like with a brush or buckskin.

(2) Dust removal should be done with wet silk cloth or the like in the weighing chamber or near the magnetic steel. Do not let dust and dirt fall into the magnetic steel to cause the balance to malfunction.

(3) Wipe the balance and parts with a damp lint or the like (it is not advisable to use solvents).

(4) Wipe the balance and its parts with clean buckskin or silk cloth to ensure the balance is clean.

3. Main steps for installing an electronic balance

(1) Select a qualified installation room and have a qualified installation station.

(2) Remove the electronic balance packaging, such as wooden boxes or cartons, and collect the outer packaging and shockproof items for reuse.

(3) Check whether the balance main unit and parts are complete and the appearance is good.

(4) Dust and cleaning the balance main engine and parts.

(5) Install the balance main unit and adjust the balance to the horizontal state by adjusting the horizontal adjustment foot at the bottom of the balance (you can observe the horizontal device in the balance weighing room).

(6) Install the balance parts such as the balance ring and weighing pan of the balance in place, and some weighing pans need to be rotated to fix them.

(7) Loosen the stop fixing device such as the shipping set screw or button (some electronic balances do not have this device).

(8) Adjust the external power supply selection button of the electronic balance to the local power supply voltage file.

(9) Insert the external power supply and plug into the external power socket, and turn on the power switch of the electronic balance to observe whether the balance display is normal. If the display is normal, preheat according to the requirements of the manual.

4. Precautions before operation of the electronic balance

(1) The voltage file selected by the electronic balance should match the external power supply voltage at the place of use.

(2) The electronic balance should be in a horizontal state.

(3) The electronic balance shall be preheated as required by the instructions.

(4) When weighing volatile and corrosive items, place them in a closed container to avoid corrosion and damage to the electronic balance.

(5) The indoor temperature and humidity of the balance should be constant, the temperature should be 20"C, and the humidity should be about 50%.

(6) Correct the balance to the best condition.

5. Main steps for operating an electronic balance

(1) Turn on the power and warm up to keep the balance in standby.

(2) Turn on the balance switch (press the joystick or switch key) to make the balance at zero, otherwise press the tare button.

(3) Put the vessel, read the value and record it, press the tare key to clear it by hand, and the balance will be reset to zero.

(4) Record the readings by adding a sample to the vessel until the desired weight is displayed. If the printer is available, press the Print button to complete.

(5) Take out the vessel together with the sample.

(6) Press the balance button to clear it for reuse.

6, the correct maintenance of the electronic balance should pay attention to the problem

(1) Always maintain the environmental sanitation in the balance room, and keep the balance weighing room clean. Once the items are scattered, they should be carefully removed.

(2) Regularly conduct self-calibration or regular external school on the electronic balance to ensure that the sensitivity of the balance is at its best.

(3) When the balance is not used for a long time, it should be collected.

(4) If the electronic balance fails, it should be repaired in time and must not be taken seriously.

(5) The operating balance should not be overloaded to avoid damage to the balance.
